RED FLAG 1: Long Lines

This is real footage from the starting point of the Grand Canyon West Rim. Notice the long line of people waiting to board the shuttle bus to go to the first stop which is called Eagle Point. There is only one bus there which is why the line is so long causing the wait time between the stops to be long as well. Tour bus companies transport thousands of people to the Grand Canyon West Rim every day.

When you arrive, the Grand Canyon is only visible from two different locations. (Guano Point & Eagle Point) These two areas are miles apart so they provide free shuttle buses that transport you there. Due to thousands of tourists there every day long lines form at each of the bus stop as well as the Skywalk. People are stuck in long lines having to wait for long periods of time just to board the free shuttles. In addition the line to enter the Skywalk is always long being that it can only hold up to 25 people at a time.

We get there two hours before all of the other tour bus companies. This means that you will have the Grand Canyon all to yourselves for most of your stay. You will avoid the large crowds & long lines. You will capture pictures without other people being in the backround. By the time your going out the large crowds will be coming in.

RED FLAG 2: The Skywalk

The Grand Canyon West Rim is located in the Hualapai Native American tribal territory. They are very friendly and welcoming but they have rules. The Skywalk has a capacity of no more than 25 people at time. This causes long lines to form just to enter the Skywalk. They do not allow phones, camera’s or electronic devices of any kind on the Skywalk platform. When planning their vacation most people book their tours & purchase Skywalk tickets online without knowing that they can’t take bring their phones on the Skywalk. Before entering the Skywalk they put all of your electronical devices in lockers.

This is because Hualapai’s provide a service that charges you per picture that they themselves take of you. Tourists who book through tour bus companies do not know this until they arrive to the Skywalk because the tour bus companies DO NOT tell them in advance. Tour bus companies get discounted rates to the Skywalk for bringing them high volume traffic. However those bus companies do not pass on that savings or the discounted rate to their customers. They charge customers the full price to add on Skywalk tickets to their Grand Canyon Tour package. This how they make more money as well.

We are fully transparent and we let our guests know in advance of what to expect so that there are no unexpected surprises. We do not take advantage of customers who do not know this important rule ahead of time. We don’t charge extra money to add Skywalk tickets to your tour for you to be surprised of this rule when they get there. You can buy Skywalk tickets at the Skywalk itself as well. This also gives you the freedom to decide for yourself if you want to or not.

Despite this fact, we encourage all of our guests to take advantage of the unique experience of the Skywalk because it’s alot of fun. Nowhere in the world will you be able to have such a fun & exciting experience.

Most of our guests end up purchasing Skywalk tickets anyway because we tell them in advance of what to expect versus the tour company making more money by hiding this information from them. Our tour guides inform them in advance as well.

Red Flag 3- No Shade

During the warmer months of the summertime there isn’t much shade anywhere at the stops at the Grand Canyon. The direct sunlight can overwhelm most people preventing them from spending as much time at the Grand Canyon as they want to.

We provide umbrellas for all of our guests which allows them to endure the hot sun while being comfortable in the shade wherever they go while exploring the Grand Canyon. Being that it rains on average 20 days a year in Las Vegas umbrellas are difficult to find but not for us.
